Seattle Captioner |

I am a court reporter and realtime captioner in Seattle, Washington. I have been captioning for the University of Washington and other local community colleges for years, and before switching to the Gemini, that meant running to and from class with a big bag of equipment, rushing to pack up for the next class, just in time to set up the equipment again. Now I no longer have the “load” to lug around campus all day!
Gemini is so compact and lightweight that I can fit everything into my briefcase or backpack! It’s also a breeze to set up and connect to my laptop. One of the features I love about the Gemini (besides it being so lightweight and pretty – blue is the color of my Gemini) is that there is never a lag time with the captioning. With my old writer, my laptop would go through periods of long pauses, sometimes up to half a minute, and that’s a lot of words missed!
I can’t imagine writing on anything else. I love my job, but Gemini has made it that much sweeter! Thank you Gemini!!!!

I am a proud owner of the Gemini Steno machine. First, I would like to take the opportunity to thank Jason and the group for taking over the company that started the technology with this particular machine. I feel that The Neutrino Group is going to really accomplish what court reporters want and need and are looking for in writers. All of my experiences with Jason have been friendly ones, informative ones, and helpful ones, especially when I called in a panic one night. He calmly helped me through my problem, which I created myself. But again, thank you. I wish the stars for The Neutrino Group.
In closing, I would like to say that Jason and The Neutrino Group have a great technology that can only grow, if they keep working at it. Jason is a determined person who really works very hard at trying to make a product for the reporters of today. I feel that anyone looking for a new machine, or looking for their first machine, should DEFINITELY invest in a Gemini writer. It is economically affordable and will last you a long time with little maintenance, unlike the Stenturas that you have to service every two years. I feel that most people will like the technology and will adapt to what it has to offer. I hope that Jason grows as the field of court reporting grows. He really cares about what he’s doing and what he’s giving to us as reporters. He went so far as to ask for users of the Gemini to write to him to tell him our likes and dislikes, and I have a feeling he’s more interested in the dislikes. I know he’s going to use it to make a great product even better. Thank you, Jason and The Neutrino Group.

I have been reporting since 1984 and wrote on a Stentura for the first 14 years of my career. I switched to the Gemini Writer back in the dark ages before Jason bought the company and revolutionized the machine. It totally alleviated my neck and arm pain within three months of using it. My fatigue level went from very high at the end of a long day to really low. I was excited when Jason bought the company and started making needed changes. He takes reporter requests seriously and has implemented a couple of my suggestions over the years.
When I pulled my Lexus Red Revolution out of the box, made the adjustments to suit my particular feel, I knew Jason had developed a machine that even the most diehard users of traditional writers would have to try! As my luck runs, the first job I took with it turned out to be realtime, as did every job for the next two weeks. I made adjustments during paper shuffling and all went well.
Whether you are a new reporter, just beginning school or a seasoned veteran, I would strongly encourage you to consider this machine to extend your career and alleviate any health issues you may have that can be connected to your traditional writer. I firmly believe that if I hadn't taken a chance and switched to the Gemini back in 1998 I would be a gripy old reporter by now, if I were even reporting at all.
I sometimes am overly enthusiastic about the Gemini Writer, but I know what a difference it has made for me, personally, and I want everyone to try it so they can experience it, too!
Jason, thank you for your continued efforts to provide a healthy choice to all of us in the court reporting profession. They are very much appreciated!
